What Is RU-486?

The "RU" stands for Roussel Uclaf. Roussel Uclaf is the manufacturer of the RU-486 pill. Roussel Uclaf is owned by Hoechst A.G., one of several corporations spun off after World War II from the giant I.G. Farben chemical company. This is the same the firm that supplied Hitler with the Zyklon B gas used to kill Jews and Christians in the Third Reich death camps of Nazi Germany. RU-486 is the old name for Mifepristone. The trade name in the United States is Mifeprex(R). Elsewhere in the world it has the trade name of Mifegyne(R). According to Pharmacists For Life International, Inc., the raw material for Mifeprex(R) is made right here in the United States in Fairfield, NJ by Danco Granulation for the parent company, a Hungarian firm called Gideon Richter.

How Does Mifeprex(R) Work?

According to rules set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the use of Mifeprex(R) requires three (3) visits to a doctor's office. Mifeprex(R) can only be prescribed by a physician after a HCG blood test, and a sonogram confirm and date the pregnancy. Mifeprex(R) is approved for use up to the 49th day of pregnancy, or about seven (7) weeks.

To better understand what God is doing in the wombs of our mothers up to the 49th day of pregnancy, please note that from Day 1 the single cell embryo contains the complex genetic makeup for every detail of the new human being, including the child's sex, hair and eye color, height, skin tone, etc. After the embryo is formed, nothing new is added but oxygen, nutrition, and time. And after just 18 days inside the womb, the baby's heart begins to beat. According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI): "Medication abortion accounted for 13% of all abortions, and 22% of abortions before nine (9) weeks' gestation, in 2005."[1]

Once pregnancy is confirmed our women return to their doctor's office for two (2) doses of medication. First, they are given one dose of Mifepristone, a synthetic steroid, which causes the embryo to be unable to remain attached to the lining of the uterus. The second pill Misoprostol, causes uterine contractions after about two (2) days. The pregnancy is terminated anywhere from six (6) hours to one (1) week later. If this does not work a surgical abortion must be performed.

Clearly The Works Of Darkness

In an effort to meet the needs of women in crisis pregnancies, the abortion industry has recently unveiled ellaOne. Working much like the abortion pill Mifeprex(R), ellaOne is classified as emergency contraception (i.e., momma is pregnant with a child), and blocks progesterone from reaching the womb where the pre-born child lives. Both drugs ultimately terminate the life of a pre-born child. Even the researchers behind ellaOne use the word "embryotoxic" to describe the pills ability to terminate the life of an embryo (i.e., human life).[2] As men of God, does any of this, in anyway, under any circumstances, look like anything resembling the work of Christ to us? If not, then whose work is it? More to the point, as men of God, shouldn't we oppose the works of darkness?
