Trend Analysis
The term "trend" describes the general direction in which the data is moving. The term "trend analysis" refers to the concept of collecting information and attempting to spot a pattern, a direction, or trend, in the information or a mathematical technique that uses historical results to predict future outcome.

Interpreting The Data
The abortion to live births ratio reveals there are 79 abortions for every 100 live births in the Black community. The trend here is frightening as for every one (1) Black baby born alive, practically one (1) Black baby dies by abortion. The abortion to pregnancies ratio reveals there are 44 abortions for every 100 pregnancies in the Black community. The trend here is equally as frightening as almost half of all pregnancies (44%) in the Black community end in abortion. Here is another number that is more than horrifying, according to the Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI) 73% of the women who obtain an abortion claim religious affiliation.2 It appears that since 1970 more and more Black women are finding abortion to be the answer to the challenges they face in a crisis and/or an unintended pregnancy.
