Nonviolence or Nonexistence

"Today there is no longer a choice between violence and nonviolence. It is either nonviolence or nonexistence. I feel that we've got to look at this total thing anew and recognize that we must live together. That the whole world now it is one--not only geographically but it has to become one in terms of brotherly concern. Whether we live in America or Asia or Africa we are all tied in a single garment of destiny and whatever effects one directly, effects one in-directly.

I'm concerned about living with my conscience and searching for that which is right and that which is true, and I cannot live with the idea of being just a conformist following a path that everybody else follows. And this has happened to us. As I've said in one of my books, so often we live by the philosophy 'Everybody's doing it, it must be alright.' We tend to determine what is right and wrong by taking a sort of Gallup poll of the majority opinion, and I don't think this is the way to get at what is right.

Arnold Toynbee talks about the creative minority and I think more and more we must have in our world that creative minority that will take a stand for that which conscience tells them is right, even though it brings about criticism and misunderstanding and even abuse."

Woman No Tie
"Few will have the greatness to bend history itself; but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation." — Robert F. Kennedy

Abby Brannam Johnson

Abby Brannam Johnson, life was changed on October 6, 2009. That was the day that she resigned from the largest abortion corporation in the nation … Planned Parenthood. Abby worked and volunteered for Planned Parenthood for eight years. For the last year of her employment, Christ had been working on her heart. Although she didn't understand why, Abby had begun to question her work and the motivations of the company she had dedicated herself to for eight years. In September 2009, she saw something that forever changed her mind on the issue of abortion. Abby was asked to assist in an ultrasound guided abortion procedure. On the ultrasound screen she saw a 13 week baby in the womb fight for its life … only to lose the battle in the end. You can reach Abby Johnson via her website here.

In 1996, after serving as an Olympic Gold Medal Statistician in Atlanta, Lori answered the Lord's call to meet the needs of their children and gave up a six figure income to become a full time Home Schooling Mom. On Saturday, February 4th, 2012 Walter and Lori will celebrate twenty-three (23) years of Holy matrimony. Lori is prominently featured in the Coral Ridge Hour's broadcast "Jailed for Picketing an Abortion Clinic." Dr. Vansen R. Wong, M.D.

Vansen R. Wong, M.D. grew up in the Bay Area, where he received his education. He studied Biology 1975-1979 at Stanford University, then attended UC San Francisco 1979-1983 for medical school and will be talking about his experiences as a former abortion provider. Dr. Wong is an accomplished speaker, I first met on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010 at a Berkeley Students for Life event where he was speaking. Not only did he hold the students spell bound as he clearly communicated his journey from an abortion provider to a Pro-Life champion, Dr. Wong took the time to answer any questions the students had for him with a transparency that is rarely found today. I am very excited Dr. Wong will be with us and encourage everyone to come and his life affirming testimony.
