Protecting Black Life
"I want to win the hearts of those that disagree with me." — Henry Flowers, IV

Now a wife and mother, Travon is passionate about defending the rights of the unborn and desires to also use her story as well as her secular and biblical training to demonstrate the transformative power of Scripture through Jesus Christ.Protecting Black Life was birthed with the primary objective of lifting above and educating the Black American community about the scourge of abortion that has the Black American race in steady decline. Protecting Black Life deliberately and consistently presents powerful, life-saving educational resources aimed at Black American youth and the many troubles young people face while living in these troubled times. With over twenty (20) Million black babies killed by abortion, Protecting Black Life is convinced something must be done about it! So they develop Pro-Life educational literature for the Black American community. Protecting Black Life collaborates with Black American pastors to develop strategies to positively impact young people through local and national gatherings and events. Protecting Black Life also assists "Non-Black American" organizations, ministries and churches by helping to equip our brothers and sisters in Christ with proven, practical strategies to effectively reach the Black community with the message of life. Protecting Black Life understands the Pro-Life conversation with the Black population must be led by Black Americans in order to avoid the resistance to the "White Savior" mentality that is held by many in the community of color.

Protecting Black Life Research
The national map shows Planned Parenthood surgical abortion facilities that are clearly located within walking distance of African American or Hispanic|Latino neighborhoods. — Protecting Black Life Research Results

The 2010 Census results revealed that Planned Parenthood targeted minority neighborhoods. 79% of its surgical abortion facilities are located within walking distance of Black American or Hispanic|Latino neighborhoods.

The Life Issues Institute has released a 'special edition' of its quarterly newsletter which includes a compilation of previously released abortion-related articles pertinent to the Black American community. The 2010 Census results revealed that Planned Parenthood targeted minority neighborhoods. It's clear that Planned Parenthood has located, 79% of its 165 surgical abortion facilities within walking distance of Black American or Hispanic|Latino neighborhoods. Protecting Black Life's Research has revealed that Planned Parenthood located, 62% of its abortion facilities within two (2) miles of Black American neighborhoods, and 64% near Hispanic or Latino neighborhoods, thus establishing them as "targeted neighborhoods." The 131 cities highlighted in the research, using "Google Map" technology, clearly show that Planned Parenthood continues to pursue the eugenics philosophy of its founder, Margaret Sanger, who believed that Blacks and the poor were "unfit" to reproduce. Margaret Sanger dedicated her life to controlling the population of these "undesirables" by advancing birth control and sterilization in their neighborhoods. Later, the legalization of abortion gave Planned Parenthood an effective and lucrative means for furthering this eugenics agenda. Although Planned Parenthood denies it, these maps show conclusively that they continue to target minorities for abortion. 1

"It Makes No Sense for taxpayers to fund an organization that has fewer than 700 locations, offers very little actual health care and kills pre-born babies for money. It's time to stop the taxpayer largesse that enables Planned Parenthood." 2
