Our Government At Work

"By law, Title X funds may not be used in programs where abortion is a method of family planning." — (The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Population Affairs, Family Planning) 1

Department of Health and Human ServicesThe Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is the United States government's principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing essential human services, especially for those who are least able to help themselves. The Office of Adolescent Health (OAH) coordinates adolescent health programs and initiatives across the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services related to adolescent health promotion and disease prevention.

In July of 1969, President Richard M. Nixon asked Congress to create a Commission on Population Growth and the American Future to study population growth and its effect on federal, state, and local governments. In October of the very same year, the National Center for Family Planning Services (NCFPS) was established in the Health Services and Mental Health Administration (HSMHA) of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (DHEW). With DHEW's task of developing family planning programs and coordinating with other federal and private efforts to assure community family planning services, the HSMHA contracted Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) to provide comprehensive services to the low-income population. 2

A Twenty (20) Million Dollar Grant

Planned Parenthood collected $363.2 million (i.e., over 1 million dollars a day) in government grants and contracts in 2008/2009, and at the end of the year had $64 million in profits. — (Report on Planned Parenthood Facilities)

"The Northwest Coalition for Adolescent Health (NWCAH) has been awarded $20 million Planned Parenthood Logoby the Office of Adolescent Health (OAH). NWCAH is comprised of six (6) Planned Parenthood Federation of America affiliates: Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest (PPGNW), Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI), Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW), Planned Parenthood of Montana (PPM), Planned Parenthood of Southwest Oregon (PPSWO) and Mt. Baker Planned Parenthood (MBPP)." 3

"This funding will allow NWCAH to replicate OAH's "Teen Outreach Program" (TOP), in 73 targeted sites, in 27 counties across the five (5) NW states Margaret Sanger Flyerthat have the highest risk of teen pregnancy. Within these communities, NWCAH plans to target a diverse population of the highest risk youth in grades 7-12 in a mix of rural and urban communities. The program will reach over 8,000 youth over the five-year project period." 4

"Nearly 700,000 teens in the United States will become pregnant each year. Teen mothers are more likely to drop out of school and fall into poverty. Children born to teen mothers also face significant life challenges. They are more likely to drop out of school, experience unintended pregnancies early in life, and experience more financial and health disparities compared to children of older parents." 5

Who Will Be There?

Planned Parenthood kills 5,871 innocent human beings every week. — (American Life League's Stopp Report)

Who will be there to lend our youth a hand in their most desperate time of need? Who will be there with twenty (20) million U.S. taxpayer dollars in their pocket? One Million DollarsWho will be in their schools and schoolbooks? Who will be in their public squares? Who will be in their public offices? Who will be in their social media hunts? Who will be in their movies and entertainment centers? Who will be in their clubs? Who will be in their newspapers and magazines? Who will be in their television programs and favorite coffee shops? Who will be in their grocery markets and convenience stores? Who will be in their neighborhoods and houses of worship? Who will be in their homes? Who will be in their bedrooms?

Again, Who Will Be There?

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America." — (Preamble to the United States Constitution)

The largest abortion provider in the world will be there. A federally funded Planned Parenthood will be there to facilitate the death of our youth and our babies in their wombs. Why? We The PeopleBecause in my opinion, "we the people" have betrayed our biblical values at the ballot box, embraced sellout strategies that compromise our integrity in the public square and continue to be silent at our dinner tables and in our churches and pulpits. My question is: Why after almost forty (40) years since Roe and Doe and after over fifty (50) million lives have been brutally ripped from their mother's wombs and sucked down bio-hazardous waste bags, are we still struggling to end abortion? Abortion must end now!

Brothers, we really need to talk.
